Electrical Panels and Full Services

There are three parts to your homes electrical system – the main electrical service, the main power panel and the wires that run throughout your home.

Main Electrical Service – This is where the power comes into your home. It is the point that your home connects to the utility companies power and contains the electrical meter. The power is then pushed into your panel’s main breaker to power your electronics.

Main Power Panel – The main power panel is similar to the brain in your body. Your brain controls everything you do. Same with your panel, it controls all of your electrical components in one spot. It regulates, with the use of proper size breakers, the correct amount of power is supplied to your home equipment. Some people refer to this as the circuit breaker box or fuse panel.

Wires that run throughout – These wires are similar to the nerves that run throughout your body and connect everything together. The wires keep all of your electronics together throughout the home and are protected by your electrical panel.
